Birth Doula
Hiring a doula is a big investment, but it can truly change your birthing experience. As a doula I teach how to advocate for yourself. I help your labor team (partner, mom, friend, whoever you chose to be there) support your birthing goals. I am not there to replace partners or other support people, my role is to aid in you having the most empowered and positive birthing experience possible.
If you are interested in hiring a doula, I recommend interviewing different doulas. There is a doula for everyone, and not all doulas are the right fit for all families. It is important to find someone who you can imagine being apart of a very intimate moment in your life. I offer a free 30 minute consultation with anyone interested in hiring me for doula services. This can be done in person, over the phone, or via Zoom.
I attend local hospital, birth center, and home births.
I offer sliding scale if necessary.

Client Testimonial
“During my labor, Abby was such a calming presence. She has an inner sense of when to make suggestions, give support or give space. My husband was very involved, but he doesn’t know when to suggest a peanut ball, offer a smell of essential oil or give counter pressure exactly where it’s needed. Abby’s experience and intuition of what a laboring mom needs truly made the difference between an okay labor experience to one in which I felt fully supported and taken care of.
I wish every new mom could feel that level of support and care during the most life changing time of her life. Doula care from Abby can help give moms just that. I highly recommend anyone thinking of hiring Abby as a doula, to go for it. It will be a decision you will be so thankful to have made!”
